I do not post in HTML either. The point you are missing, my pointy-headed friend, is that you still have to un-convert the received post from HTML to plain-text.
Usually you can do this by going into HTML mode and then converting right back into PLAIN TEXT thus everything goes into PLAIN TEXT. I did not really explain this to you very well, I guess I was goofing off when I sent you my last private message. Make sure not to let on that I am often goofing off as some people take me seriously and that makes it easier to goof on them when they least expect it. Think of all the interesting Zen topics that have come about? I have really enjoyed this year of the Zen Forum. Last year was pretty harsh, but then I guess that reflected my own participation too. You get out of it what you put into it. I have a whole list of these motivational phrases that really mean nothing. Yet when I think of them as meaningless that is a bit depressing. So I am going to empower them with the illusion of motivating me. Cynicism and hope may both be illusions, but some illusions are better than others. I'm glad you didn't post it to the forum so we didn't have to air my dirty laundry online. You may not have been reading my posts lately, by that I mean the past several months, and I don't blame you if you haven't been reading them, but if you had you'd have noticed that I have been posting in text and not HTML for some time. You might send another one of your private emails to JMJM and remind him of the HTML problems.
