Below is "what I have heard" (like Ananda) and gradually witness.....

All terms, labels and concepts form a world in our brain describing what
is happening in the world of lives, where everything is occurring as per
order of nature or dharma.

In the world of description, Bodhisatva is someone who are constantly
aware and lives a committed life of helping others. Thus he/she grows
with more wisdom and self-awareness.

In parallel....in the world of lives, Bodhisatva absorbs "karmic
energy/chi" from others as well as from him/herself and processes it
away. These karma causes accidents, physical discomfort, delusional
mind, impulsive behavior, etc. etc. Gradually as the Bodhisatva helps
to process more of these karmic influence, he/she becomes stronger,
healthier with much smoother life.

For instance, in a lighter way, if we were focusing to listen to the
misery of others for long time, we often became very exhausted. And the
talker often felt better, whether in person or over the phone.

When more and more beings are being helped by this Bodhisatva, more
hearts are synced. The more the hearts are synced, the bigger the Buddha.

It is unscientific to say, that an enlightened Master can process all
the karma away with his intent. Yet it is true. I have witness enough
of such events from our fellow practitioners to share with you that
meditation without cultivation of "Chi" is not an effective spiritual
exercise.

Discussion on terms and concepts is to satisfy the knowledge craving
ego. To witness every step on the journey is the only way to know.

Practice instead of understand. Witness instead of guess.

It is not hard, just commit to it. Detach from all forms and sync to
every essence is true and direct Dharma.
