Today, the Council of Zen Lists met to discuss the matter of Jarvis. The Council of Ten is composed of the Moderators and Owners of the Top Ten Zen lists all over the world.
For about six months now, he has been moderator of the Zen Forum. His early days as Moderator featured numerous topical posts with peaceful and harmonious discussions. However, his performance has been slipping as of late. On more than one occasion, complaints were filed with the Jarvis has taken a harsh tone towards various other members. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Council_of_Ten So the Council convened to review the accusations against Jarvis, and this is what transpired: First, Jarvis was summoned to the sanctuary of the Zen Council, located at the Shaolin Temple at an undisclosed location somewhere in the Far East. The Delegates from the worldwide coalition of Zen Lists convened at the temple also. Jarvis was confronted, and the charges against him were read into the Official Blog of the Zen Forum. After the charges were read into the record, the judges were duly appointed, and a jury of monks was selected, and then the trial was convened. The Judgment was rendered. Four of the monks on the jury briefly discussed their decision with reporters from Hong Kong and Tokyo after the verdict was read. The Council had decided that Jarvis' actions could be tolerated. He was forthwith removed from his position as Moderator. Following the tradition of the Zen Forum list, the old moderator was given the option of committing seppuku or being executed. Jarvis chose the former option, sparing the Zen Council any negative publicity. Afterwards, the new candidates were reviewed: Many qualified candidates were considered by the Council to replace Jarvis as the Moderator. Finally, after lenghty discussion and deliberation, Kamandi-san was chosen to be the new Moderator of the Zen Forum! So now a new era begins!
