We cannot embrace life if we are caught up in delusions. We must practice 
absolute
detatchment from delusions to truely embrace life.

That is how I read this.

 donaldhwong Absolute dettachment is based on seeing the true nature 
of phenomenons and not attitude adjustment.
 

Yet Zen is not about detachment but embracing life?
