Margie,
All good stuff. We discuss things like this routinely on the
Evolutionary Psychology group where that would be pretty tame
compared to some of the topics. Though there are a few benighted
souls there as well that can't seem to see through the most basic
veils of illusion.

Ah, come on now! You can't leave us dangling with that teaser and not
tell us now, can you? Fess up! After all we might learn something, at
least I might. After all, I'm a hermit too, living alone on top of my
hill in the woods, object of suspicion and rumor, my only loves my

I most certainly can! But...I do like you a lot being a fellow hermit

Can I join the hermit alien club?
Beam me up.

Hi Mayka,
Thank you for your post. You haven't offended me at all. To quote
Shakespeare out of context, however; The rest is silence.
Hope to talk with you again soon,

Hi Margie,
Maybe even siblings? I've always thought I was probably switched at

Hi Edgar-
(big sigh)
Sex is such a hot button issue. I have trouble in this area because
now that I am older my perspective on sex is very different than when
I was young. Sex by itself (WITHOUT the pregnancy and sexually
transmitted disease issues) is such a tiny, inconsequential part of
life,
Hi Margie,
Yes, I'd agree with you on most all your points. BTW my grandfather
was a Polish immigrant who escaped Poland hiding in a hay wagon so we
have some similar ancestry. As to the 'emotional damage' from sex I
would note that Zen tells us that most so called 'emotional damage'

I completely agree with you about emotional damage and attachment.

Hi Al,
I most certainly do believe in morals and ethics.
If faithfulness is important to people, then they should be faithful
and find find a partner who feels the same way.
If they are not in a relationship that requires faithfulness, then
they are free to do whatever they want with other
Hi Margie,
I agree that the constant obsession with sex is a distraction as are
other desires. And I agree that sex is natural. Sometimes the best
way to deal with desires is just to satisfy them and go on with other
things rather than obsessing about them.

roloro1557 I think consenting adults should have sex as much as they
want with whomever they want.
I guess you would agree that you are an amoral and/or immoral person
and that you believe that there is no such thing as morals or ethics
and you certainly would not tolerate faithfulness?
