Yet, Chan, Zen, Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Bahai, Krishna are one of the
same, the only difference is the words each uses and the journey each sage
traveled through.
MEL: Interesting interpretations. I would say this of those from conservative
Semitic(Christian/Islamic/Jewish) backgrounds....they regard all outside of
their respective teachings as heresy, and therefore breaking from, or going
against the laws of Yahweh/Allah/God
My understanding of Zen are that it doesn't teach dualistic ideas such as..
- belief in any god, or anything mystical or mythical for that matter
- the use of ceremonies/rituals
- wording of specific rules
...amongst many others
