'Reserved category docs harassed at MU' TNN, Jul 11, 2010, 01.37am IST LUCKNOW: Another group of members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) have written to chief minister Mayawati against the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University (CSMMU). In their letter to the chief minister, the MLAs have alleged that the teachers who come from from the reserved category are harassed in the university. The MLAs who have written to the chief minister are Rajesh Gautam, Meeta Gautam, Birju Ram, Ghoora Ram, Radhey Lal Rawat, Bhagwan Das, Tribhuvan Dutt, Rajendra Prasad Choudhary and Jitendra Kumar. The MLAs, in a combined letter to the CM, alleged that CSMMU administration is deliberately blocking the promotional avenues for the reserved category doctors. A fortnight ago, MLAs Narendra Verma, Bhagely Ram and BJP leader Vinay Katiyar had written to the chief minister stating that CSMMU doctors were violating the ban on private practice. Meanwhile, the university authorities said they didn't have any information about any such letter.
