Children refuse food from Dalits 09/07/2010 15:58:00 Font size: Children in a primary school at Jasaura village of Sandalpur block in Kanpur refused the food cooked by a Dalit woman named Shanti Devi. There are 135 students and most of them belong to high caste. When mid-day meal began to be served to the students, none of them agreed to eat the same. Not only had the children opposed to food cooked by dalit women even their parents think on similar lines and are supporting their wards. Confused as how to react to this social ill, District administration only said that that it will look into the matter and find a solution soon.
