Mayawati statues row: SC asks EC to take decision in 3 months TNN, Jul 9, 2010, 11.24am IST NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday asked the Election Commission to decide in 3 months maintainability of complaints against Mayawati and BSP on installation of elephants as well as her statues in Uttar Pradesh. The Election Commission had complained to the SC that Uttar Pradesh government was not giving details of the number of statues installed. The SC has asked the EC to decide the maintainability and place the order before it for further direction.
