Regional Hooda to be honoured at Dalit Samman Rally Karnal (PTI): Elaborate arrangements have been made for "Dalit Samman Rally" scheduled to be held here on Sunday, where the state Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would be felicitate by the Dalit Samaj. The chief minister would be honoured by the Dalit samaj on this occasion for executing a number of welfare schemes and development works for the community during his tenure so far, a member of the committee said. According to an official spokesmen as many as 62 welfare schemes have been launched during the past two and a half years in Haryana by the Hooda Government for the upliftment of Dalits including plots measuring 100 sq feet announced recently. A booklet detailing welfare schemes for the Dalits have been prepared and will be distributed in the rally, spokesperson said. A committee, consisting of 31 Dalit members under the leadership of Phool Chand Mulana, President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, is looking after arrangements of the rally which will be held at New Food Grain Market grounds here. The CM, besides a number of ministers, MLAs and other dignitaries, will address the rally which is expected to be attended lakhs of people, he said. Sprawling over an huge chunk of land, a huge stage has been erected to accommodate about 300 ministers and other VVIPs. The entire rally area has been divided into 20 sectors, each of which will be supervised by police inspectors. Two sectors have been reserved especially for women.
