Special Correspondent Recruitment is for non-teaching cadres and to the 'deferred' teaching posts TIRUPATI: The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Research Scholars and Post Graduate Students Association, Sri Venkateswara University on Sunday threatened to stall the interviews slated for October 30 and November 12 for the recruitment to non-teaching cadres and to the 'deferred' teaching posts respectively in the Sri Venkateswara University (SVU). Questioned In a statement issued here, the association said that given the allegedly questionable manner in which the previous phase of the interviews were conducted, they absolutely had no hope that justice would be done to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Class incumbents under the present dispensation. Hunger strike The Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Class cadres are on a relay hunger strike in front of the university since 40 days protesting against the alleged 'injustice'. In a statement they questioned the authority of the SVU top-brass in conducting the interviews and said that they would not 'accept' the recruitments made at the ensuing interviews.
