Jeff, Sorry this is so late. Thanks for the labelfix binary. I would like to
have one compiled for sparc. I tried compiling your source code but it threw up
with many errors. I'm not a programmer and reading the source code means
absolutely nothing to me. One error was:
cc labelfix.c
zpool destroy -f usb1

/usr/openwin/bin/xterm returns 'Could not set destroy callback to IM' but does
open an xterm. I have never seen this one before. Any ideas?

Todd, 3 days ago you were asked what mode the BIOS was using, AHCI or IDE
compatibility. Which is it? Did you change it? What was the result? A few other
posters suggested the same thing but the thread went off into left field and I
believe the question / suggestions got lost in the noise.
I have a Sun Blade 2500 running nv_88. I want to install nv_94 with a mirrored
zfs root filesystem. At the ok prompt, I entered boot cdrom -w so that I would
get the test installer and could select zfs as the root filesystem.
Unfortunately, I got the GUI installer and can not select a zfs root.
Thanks Cindy. My co-worker ( whom I mentor), told me the proper way. It is
boot cdrom - w, not cdrom -w. He's right. He should be mentoring me. I'll try
your way later, nv94 is loading now..

That fixed it on my SunBlade 2500 with NV90. Thank you very much. This has been
happening on and off for many builds. The fix gores in my How To document.

I've been working with zfs since the beginning but have pretty much ignored ACL
Inherit and ACL Mode. Now one of my DBs is having permission problems in a
directory and has suggested changing the defaults Secure and Groupmask to
passthrough. This would affect the whole filesystem.
What would
Robert,
How do you set bshift to ^13 (8K)? Is there a document describing the procedure?

This works like a champ:
smbclient -U foobar samba_server\\home
Given a UNIX account foobar with a smbpasswd for the account, the zfs
filesystem pool/home/foobar was created and smclient connected to it.
Thank you.

I've run smcwebserver stop and svcadm clear svc:/system/webconsole:console then
svcadm enable webconsole and get the same results.
The Java Web Console works perfectly on Solaris 10 6/06.

Thanks Steve. The workaround (rm -f /var/webconsole/tmp/console_*.tmp) and a
restart fixed it.
I appreciate the quick response. You guys are good!

I'm glad (I guess) to hear I'm not the only one seeing this. Actually, this
post is to get the questions back up to the top of the list. ; )

Just a note about build 39. I tried Tim's smreg add suggestion and it worked, I
now see the ZFS Admin page. But when I click on the link, the next page shows:
Application Error
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /jsp/zfsmodule/DevicesTree.jsp(51,2) The end
tag /cc:i18nbundle is unbalanced

I recieved the following from Tim / Sun. Thought I would post it here:
Not sure about the last bit of your question, but in order to register
the ZFS gui, you can do :
# smreg add -a /usr/share/webconsole/zfs
Warning: smreg is obsolete and is preserved only for
compatibility with legacy
, are there any other apps that can be registed in the Sun Java Web
Console?
