I was wondering what's the status on the ability to remove disks from a ZFS 
pool?  It's mentioned in the ZFS faq, as coming soon, and the BigAdmin Xperts 
page on ZFS mentions it as coming out in 2007.

I know this is also discussed elsewhere, e.g.:

but that focuses mainly on raid-z.

However, what about the simple case, of an unmirrored pool?

(e.g. a pool containing a 100gb and 250gb disk, for 350gb of storage, with 
usage around 20gb).

Are there any plans to add the ability to remove one of the disks from the 
pool? Is it being developed at all? Or is there some hacky workaround to 
achieve this?
