We have an Oracle 10.2.0.3 installation on a Sun T2000 logical domain. The virtual disk has a ZFS file system. When we try to create a tablespace we get these errors:
WARNING: aiowait timed out 1 times WARNING: aiowait timed out 2 times WARNING: aiowait timed out 3 times ... Does disk_asynch_io = false need to be set with ZFS? This page: http://blogs.sun.com/glennf/entry/where_do_you_cache_oracle says "ZFS which doesn't allow for direct or async IO." but nothing else I've found indicates that setting must be set.
