Re: [zfs-macos] Re: Yosemite
Rather than manual uninstalling MacZFS, here's an uninstall script in case anyone finds it useful: https://gist.github.com/ilovezfs/9322159 On Tuesday, October 21, 2014 12:42:02 PM UTC-7, Anders Wallén wrote: > > Success! > Using the MacZFS Wiki, I did a manual uninstall of the components, > rebooted, installed the new software, and rebooted again. > > A *sudo zpool import -f (array names)* later, and there they were. > > My most sincere thanks to all who have contributed! > > > Den tisdagen den 21:e oktober 2014 kl. 21:16:33 UTC+2 skrev jasonbelec: >> >> It is best practice. Re: [zfs-macos] Re: Yosemite
Success! Using the MacZFS Wiki, I did a manual uninstall of the components, rebooted, installed the new software, and rebooted again. A *sudo zpool import -f (array names)* later, and there they were. My most sincere thanks to all who have contributed! Re: [zfs-macos] Re: Yosemite
It is best practice. However. Just properly uninstall your current ZFS. Then install new ZFS and try an import. If necessary add the -f for force import and you should be fine. [zfs-macos] Re: Yosemite
OpenZFSonOSX? Will do. (Five minutes later...) OK. In the readme-file for the installer, it tells me that I *must* *sudo zpool export* my arrays before upgrading, but I can't; any zpool call is answered with > internal error: failed to initialize ZFS library > So I guess that one actually needs a Yosemite port of MacZFS just for the purpose of exporting the arrays? -- --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "zfs-macos" group.
