*Performance Expectations for all jobs:*
This individual will be part of a development team to design and develop an
integrated software and hardware system for image science related
applications. The system is developed to process, distribute, and exploit
images, which may include development and implementation of algorithms.
Individual must have willingness to support the use of software tools and
processes.
*Education and Experience for all jobs:*
* Bachelor*s Degree in Computer Science / Mathematics
* Minimum 5 years software development experience
*Specific Duties / Responsibilities for all jobs:*
* Responsibilities include participation in all phases of the software
development lifecycle including requirements gathering and definition,
analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
* Responsibilities will also include participation in peer review of
documentation and code.
* The person must be a self-starter, able to work independently with strong
organizational skills and also work as part of a team. A disciplined
approach to software development and documentation is absolutely necessary.
In addition the candidate must be able to:
-Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
-Prioritize own activities
-Generate credible estimates
-Work to a published schedule
*1)Java Dev:*
Basic Core Skills / Experience:
* Java / J2EE development
* JSP / JSF development
* Web Services
* OGC Standards (WFS, CSW*)
* Open Layers
* ESRI development
* Application Server understanding (JBOSS, Sun App Server)
* JDBC (Oracle)
* Object-oriented analysis and design
* Unix / Linux development environments
* Unix shell scripting
* Excellent communication and writing skills
Additional Desired Skills:
* Enterprise Java Beans (EJB)
* Clustering and Load Balancing (Apache)
* Familiarity with Geospatial Intelligence
* Familiarity with Image Science fundamentals
* CMMI level 3 process and practice experience
*2) EJB Expert:*
Basic Core Skills / Experience:
* Java / J2EE development
* Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) (expert)
* JSP / JSF development
* Application Server understanding (JBOSS, Sun App Server)

* Understanding Oracle clustering / gridding
* Oracle backup and recovery strategies (RMAN)
* Java EE development
* Unix shell scripting
* Excellent communication and writing skills
