Description: Shared and dedicated network services platform development Milestones: Complete certification and interoperability testing of Hosting network equipment. Conduct technical support and implementation assistance of network infrastructure. Set up and configure and test loadbalancers, switches, firewalls in lab, Write technical documentation, draw network diagrams, formulate IP addressing layouts using VLSM and CIDR notation. * * Job Description: (What will the contractor do on that project?) Develop network services by setting up and configuring and testing network equipment in lab and deploy managed network services such as *loadbalancing, Layer 2 switching, SSL, and firewall security using F5, Nortel, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, or Foundry network equipment. Configure L2 switches and routers in lab. Understand SNMP MIBS. * Must have excellent communications. *Candiates submitted should have actual hands on experience - not just exposure! * Job description tasks include: Plan and design the rack layout for setting up network devices (eg L2 switches, loadbalancers, firewalls, web servers) in a lab. Physically install/deinstall and cable the network devices in the lab. Configure the network features on the device (eg authentication, SNMP, syslog, routing, switching, loadbalancing features) The candidate should be able to undertake broadly defined network responsibilites and autonomously carry them out. The candidate should be a self starter and be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
