Peoplesoft HCM Compensation Functional Consultant

Location: Dover, Delaware

Consultant is responsible for the tasks related to the implementation of
Multiple Components of Client.



Requirements:

Previous experience implementing and/or supporting the *PeopleSoft
Compensation module including Multiple Components of Pay*

Prior experience in a Compensation / HR office performing duties pertaining
to configuration of compensation systems to support compensation relation
business processes including rate codes; configurable salary matrices and
components of pay

Understanding of compensation and related requirements in a public sector
environment

·         *Expert functional knowledge of the compensation process and
functionality within the PeopleSoft application*

Deep knowledge of the following features:  Rate codes; configurable salary
matrices; earning codes; base pay; comp rate; time reporting codes

·         *Expertise in the processes governing the calculation of
compensation rates; base pay; additional pay and the interaction among the
modules with regard to pay*

o        *Comprehensive understanding of the table structure supporting the
Compensation and multiple components of pay and related processes including
payroll.*



The consultant will be responsible for functional design, module
configuration, business process reengineering, security and testing
pertaining to the Compensation and Multiple Components of Pay.



Specific responsibilities will include:

Business process analysis and requirements gathering for Compensation and
Multiple Components of Pay;

Conduct fit / gap sessions for Compensation and Multiple Components of Pay

Functional requirements solicitation using structured methodology and
adherence business analysis standards;

Develop functional specifications for Compensation and Multiple Components
of Pay functionality based on functional, business and system performance
requirements.  Complete Functional Specification in documentation in
accordance with project procedure, protocol and standards in the areas of
business process documents; configuration documents; business approach
papers; and other business analysis documents related to the upgrade and
implementation of new functionality

Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with functional,
technical and customer representatives

Analysis of data conversion requirements and preparation of conversion
mapping documents and functional requirements

Data analysis using PeopleSoft query tools and other productivity tools
including Microsoft Excel; Access; and Visio

Prepare queries in PeopleSoft query to extract data from database using
knowledge of table (record) structures in the PeopleSoft HCM database.  Data
will be used to identify patterns, evaluate system utilization, identify
non-conforming data requiring clean-up prior to go-live; etc.

Structured testing including system testing, regression testing, conversion
testing and parallel testing.

Test script development

Test script execution

Test issue reporting

Test issue resolution

Attend meetings to assist with the decomposition of complex Compensation and
Multiple Components of Pay functionality and requirements associated with
the upgrade.
