This position will work with project managers to produce releases and maintain automated build processes. This position will oversee change management, nightly builds, auto-unit test execution, source change control and change reporting. In support of the SDLC, the SCM Specialist confers with project and development managers to provide scheduling and impact estimates for SCM management activities in support of new and existing product releases. Throughout development, the SCM Specialist ensures the support for the software configuration and build infrastructure. Additionally, the SCM Specialist provides the recommendations and best practices for branch strategy and maintenance that supports new development, along with support for service packs (maintenance releases) and hotfixes (emergency software repairs). The SCM Specialist will be working with group members to enhance an Oracle Forms based software control and release system. The SCM Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of these enhancements along various life cycle stages.
