Project Manager (Business Side, Non Technical) Charlotte, NC 1 year contract Rate: $45 - 47/hr Note: Preferable with previous TIAA Experience (non technical!) Note that this is more of a pure Business Side PM position. Job Purpose/ Description: Serves as subject matter expert on Project Management processes, methodologies, and tools; provides resolution to the most complex Project Management issues (e.g., troubled projects). Provides enterprise thought leadership on Project Management processes, tools, and issues. Excels at developing Project Management training materials, conducts training as required. Excels at analyzing business unit technology needs, dissecting the most complex problems and suggesting process oriented solutions. Excellent ability to develop metrics for tracking business process improvements within both technology and business organizations. Excellent ability to provide consulting support for projects. Mentors and advises Project Managers. Leads interdepartmental or interdivisional operational project initiatives. Excellent knowledge of emerging technologies. Develops and implements new proposals on cutting-edge process improvements and technology initiatives. Tasks and Responsibilities: Excels at implementing Project Management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques. Excellent grasp of human resource management techniques. Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and troubleshooting skills. Leads large teams of Project Managers to manage multiple large, complex projects with greater impact on the enterprise. Often serves as back-up for senior management. Required education/experience: BS / MS or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field. 8 plus years of Project Management and IT work experience. PMP or other Project Management certification preferred. Dramatically enhances the alignment between business processes and IT. Excellent grasp of systems process analysis, design, simulation, gap analysis, etc. Excellent understanding of technical problems and solutions in relation to current, as well as future, business environment. Leads planning and prioritization for business process engineering related activities across multiple business units / functional areas. Excels at suggesting and implementing plans to integrate new and existing processes. Adept at leveraging both IT solutions and business process improvements.
