Please let me know, If you have any suitable consultants available on the below urgent requirement Title : Senior SQL Server DBA Location : Columbus, GA (GC or US Citizen) Need Local to GA Start Date : ASAP Duration : 6 months GC or US Citizen only Need Local to GA Summary of Responsibilities: Provide SQL Server DBA support and technical support for multiple applications in development, test, QA and production environments. Perform system optimization and improvement planning including but not limited to SQL Server database performance analysis, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance/tuning ensuring maximum performance. Install, configure and maintain database instances, create various database objects, create users with appropriate roles and levels of security. Develop and implement procedures to ensure data retention meets requirements. Troubleshoot and document database problems as they arise. Participate in defining and supporting high availability architectures, including log shipping and clustering. Create disaster recovery plans, participate in the design of emergency procedures and lead in disaster recovery for assigned applications. Develop and communicate SQL Server database standards and procedures. Identify potential environment consolidation opportunities. Create and update existing documentation as necessary for business continuity and knowledge transfer Participate in on-call responsibilities. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field plus 5-8 years of experience. Expert in SQL Server 2000 and client tools, including Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer and Profiler. Experience using SQL Server 2005. Must have high availability experience, specifically log shipping. Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
