The role supports installation, configuration and operation of all Unix systems in a heterogeneous environment. The role is focused on support and operation of Unix systems. Creates, tests, documents and delivers repeatable support processes. Investigates, documents and resolves issues escalated from Level I engineers. Escalates problems to Level III as necessary. Provides guidance, training and support for more junior team members. Develops, documents and delivers tools for support of Unix systems. Works closely with Lead Engineer to ensure that the Unix environment is supportable, maintainable and reliable. You must develop and maintain relationships with contemporaries globally.
