Please send the resumes only on* s...@cy-tec.com* UNIX Engineer *(Please note that this is a not just a UNIX Adminposition.....it is a UNIX Engineer position.) * Dallas, TX End July 2009 *Rate: 55/HR* Minimum 5 years of: *Solaris, HP-UX and Linux administration* (must be proficient in at least one; two or more preferred) in a commercial enterprise environment. *Storage Networking experience* *Perl Scripting* Experience with *Unix Performance Tuning* Strong Trouble-shooting skills Ability to develop time estimates for project schedules, monitor progress and provide accurate and timely reports. A minimum of 5 years IT experience on multiple platforms/technologies Familiarity with Database technologies. Primarily Oracle RAC. Familiarity with Web Applications and/or Java technologies. This is a position on a Unix engineering and support Team in Technology Engineering. The Team manages approximately 1,000 Unix/Linux servers and workstations. The primary focus of the Team is to provide a highly available, consistent, and resiliant operating environment for application deployments. This includes both engineering design and support responsibilities. There is an on-call pager that is rotated through the engineers and the on-call requirements include being able to provide support remotely quickly and come on-site to address support issues directly.
