This is for a long term contract opportunity in Minneapolis, MN ****Consultants must be local to Minnesota Only**** Minimum Experience: Four years technical work experience in a software development environment that required advanced Java programming language and UNIX-based platform experience, working independently and in a team-based environment*. 1 year experience with JMS and 1 year Java Persistence /OR Mapping (Hibernate *or other*).* Experience coordinating software development resources or teams. Experience with relational databases and * JDBC*. Key Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of the development life cycle including testing process and methods, variable programming fundamentals, conditional execution, data structures, compilation and debugging tools. Key Skills: *Advanced Java J2EE development skills with use* of related technologies, concepts and products such as *JMS, WebSphere MQ, Web Services, JDBC, Hibernate, XML, WSDL, XSD, JAXB, Application server, BEA,WebLogic, or other preferred. Previous experience with normalized databases a plus.* Proven organizational, analytical, and creative problem solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. We are looking for Java Developers immediately to join one of our exciting clients in Minneapolis. Candidate Responsibilities: Coordinates, performs analysis, designs, programs, tests, debugs, implements, and maintenance of Java J2EE based distributed applications and sites that meet the organizations needs. Works with clients to research and define user requirements and understand their needs, address those needs, handle problems as they arise, and escalate issues as required. Develops, maintains, and improves critical internal and external production Java applications, based on need analysis using current development technologies. Prepares detailed specifications and documentation for program modifications and development of new Java applications. Formulates system scope and objectives. Formulates development schedules for assigned work. Deploys applications that meet the needs of internal and external customers. Ensures all programming, design, production control, data validation and quality control standards are met. Manages data within relational databases. Works at the highest technical level on all phases of Java-based applications and projects. The following are ancillary position responsibilities: Provides production system support as needed or required.
