I have the following immediate need:
Position: Test Framework Engineer
Rate: $ 35 an hour MAX
Term: 9 months
Location: San Diego, CA
The client seeks a test engineer or test technician able to set up complex systems, provision them, and run test cases; someone that can generate test cases from existing ones or create test cases from scratch.
Position specifics:
· Turn requirements into dev unit/component tests
· Familiar with testing methodologies
· Experience with scripting, web languages (HTML)
· XML knowledge preferable
· Setup systems; need to know VMware or XEN virtualization technology
· Must be able to reverse engineer code in order to prepare test cases
· Be able to create log data
· Cross-platform, Linux guru
· Experience with bug tracking tools (ie, DevTrack)
· Experience with source control tool (PERFORCE or other)
· Networking understanding
· Directory services a plus
Candidates should possess 3-5 years software test experience.
