Requirement Details: Position: *SQL 2008 Expert. * Level: Senior Location: *Montvale**, NJ (Only Locals) * Duration: 1 Year *Responsibilities: * *Working with IT and development organizations:* · Working with Product Manager for Enterprise Database systems (EDB) and .Net capability and strategy · Participates in the firm’s technology standardization process, focusing on SQL2008 and .Net technologies · Lead and participate in technology focus groups, working to align disparate IT organizations · Research SQL products and technologies to determine fit with the firm’s architecture · Contributes to the evolution of the firm’s architectural frameworks and approaches *Working with Product Manager to update the firms EDB Standards for SQL Server 2008:* · Responsible for technical design for an Enterprise SQL 2008 standard · Provides technical consultation through-out requirements gathering phases · Responsible for translating business and functional requirements (business process models and use cases) into detailed technical design – from system design down to configuration · Responsible for designing and developing proof-of-concepts to test and prove designs (as required) · Ensures alignment with the firm’s application architecture · Responsible for communicating technical design and approaches to developers on EDB · Provides guidance through-out the standard development process to ensure architecture is developed to specification · Provides information and guidance to support organizations *Development and execution of * · System and Application Design Documents · System Installation and Configuration Guides · Development and Deployment Guides · Product Standards including technology roadmap · Research and Position Papers · Product Evaluation, Analysis, and Proofs-of-Concept · *Qualifications: * ** · BS degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science or related field · * **Minimum 10 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 and associated products in a production global Enterprise environment* *· **Minimum Five years designing enterprise systems with an emphasis on globally available applications with a minimum of 3 months Microsoft SQL 2008 experience in production environment.* · Strong experience as primary technical leader on successful large application development projects with the ability to manage resources and multiple projects simultaneously · In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Database technologies (specifically SQL Server 2008) · In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft platform (IIS, .NET framework, Web Services, SQL Server, SharePoint) · Strong Architecture background in installation and configuration of SQL Server 2008 including: - Database Clustering and Configuration - Security and Data Auditing - Data Warehousing/ETL - Performance monitoring tools in SQL Server - Improvements SQL 2008 offers over 2000/2005 - Migrating from SQL 2000 – 2005 – to 2008 - Server utilization and consolidation - Reporting, Integration and Analysis Services · Strong ability to interact with all levels of the organization (from junior staff to senior executives) · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and communicate: - Technical designs to developers and support staff - For leadership or business representatives, outlining complex technical concepts to a non technical audience · Work effectively with a distributed international team, across culture and time-zones with minimal supervision *Thanks & Regards* * * *Kumar*** *Sr.Technical Recruiter* OpenBox Solutions Inc.
