*Job Description :*
Under direct supervision, assists in the engineering test function for
standard and/or custom devices. Aids in the design and developing of test
procedures and assists in the evaluation of test equipment required to
perform quality checks. Prepares recommendations for testing and
documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through
initial production. May construct or assist in the construction of test
fixtures. This is the entry level position, requiring basic electronic
design knowledge. Typically requires a technical degree and 1 to 2 years
related experience.;
*Additional Job Description:*
The candidate must have a passion for agile software development and be able
to demonstrate a track record of working effectively in a demanding
collaborative environment. The candidate should have experience as a member
of an agile software development team and be able to define acceptance tests
as part of the story planning process. Technical aspects of testing are also
required, including writing test-related code & test scripts, and managing
complex physical & virtual testing environments. *At a minimum, the
candidate should have experience with the following: • Automated testing
tools (Selenium, Watir or Watin, FitNesse, Gomez/Keynote, etc.) • Two or
more scripting languages (JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.) with
significant experience (1-2 years) in each • Familiar with xUnit unit
testing and RSpec if using Ruby • Load testing (Mercury Load Runner,
AppPerfect) • Performance testing web-based applications • IE and Firefox
DOMs (i.e. the candidate knows their way around dynamic HTML in the
browser.) • Solid Windows & Unix server administration (i.e. can set up and
manage servers) • Experience with Continuous Integration tool stacks &
approaches; for example, CruiseControl and Subversion Qualifications: •
Minimum 2 years of active testing within an agile software development
environment • Active in the Open Source and Agile Testing communities •
Minimum 5 years in the software development field • Technical Experience and
