BA opportunity in Chicago area. *Candidates must be local* and have excellent communication. *Opportunity*** Contribute exceptional Business Analysis skills and leadership to a large, fast paced, highly complex and diverse rail transportation company opportunity to build and/or re-engineer systems and processes to increase business efficiency, expand markets and impact profitability. * * *Requirements* - Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years Business Analysis experience operating at a Lead Business Analyst level for complex technology project that spans multiple business units, customers, vendors and user groups - Must have strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen with ability to think outside the box - Results driven visionary with strong focus on analysis, re-engineering and/or developing efficient business processes in a large, highly complex and diverse environment - Self-motivated, self-confident, and driven to satisfy goals, needs and wants of the business users - Must be enthusiastic, encouraging with exceptional interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, ability to build rapport with management and user community - Must be able to take ownerships, operate independently, and drive the business analysis process - Good listener and quick learner (to understand needs, wants, requirements), able to convert the business needs and wants into efficient processes, able to effectively communicate both with business users and development team to build needed systems - Must be a team player and able to effectively work with project manager, peers, internal staff, business and delivery partners, and vendors. Experience in supporting cross-functional teams involving diverse personalities - Relishes dealing with complex processes, and able to see the interrelationships among multiple sub-processes (visionary) - Able to Understand and distinguish between the needs and wants of different audiences (business client, different classes of customers and vendors) - Attention to quality and High expectations – high volume of very high quality work (build it fast and build it very well) - Knowledge of the transportation industry (specifically Railroad) is a plus but not required Tools & Techniques - Must have strong and concise knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as RUP, Agile or Waterfall. Strong abilities in requirements gathering process including tools, process designs, state models, UI prototyping concepts - Comprehensive understanding of technical architecture and coding techniques; transactional data, data flow diagrams, physical and logical data models - Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, or custom-built systems utilizing Oracle Database and Oracle Developer 2000, ability to comprehend/write SQL statements and grasp Oracle database objects and design structures is also desirable - Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of relevant Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, and Project - Experience analyzing and designing web portal applications around a customer-facing, public domain internet application - Ability to clearly define web portal interfaces with internal business processes and systems Responsibilities: - Responsible for gathering process and technology requirements through the use of interviews, workflow analysis, peer review, brainstorming, use cases, and other analysis tools. The Analyst needs to be able to follow tight deadlines, negotiate and compromise when necessary, organize and present materials, and prioritize work for self and others - Independently identifies and analyzes requirements for large project and develops clear, concise, accurate, and well-organized functional design documentation that describes the processing logic and readily facilitates sign-off - Acts as liaison between business users and developers to ensure that user requirements are identified and met, and assists with user acceptance planning, execution and training - Interacts with multiple levels of management and subject matter experts, internal and external users with ability to persuade others in obtaining key stakeholder buy-in is essential - Receives general supervision, but will work closely with project manager, stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver thought leadership to the customer - Must become familiar with the scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member and stakeholder - Work closely with the Project Manager in tracking progress, status reporting, and aid in the resolution of issues that may impact the schedule, budget, resources or quality - Establish a change control process, system test plans and test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing, training and post-implementation issue resolution *PLEASE SEND ME THE RESUMES TO MY OFFICIAL ID BELOW* *Best Regards* *Chris** Nihaki Systems,Inc.
