* (6-12 month contract)* ** We are currently looking for a *Senior Java Developer* for their Roseville (Sacramento, CA) area. * * *Summary:* § HMP/HASP application programming § 7+ years software engineering experience as well as experience as a key contributor to the planning and success of technical solutions * * *Job Requirements:* § Proficiency in JAVA using SEAM, STRUTS development framework is required. § The candidate must also demonstrate expertise and experience in the following areas: o Software development (OOD/OOP) including: algorithm development, workflow automation, results retrieval and viewing (GUI design and development). § Construction and processing of XML documents § Good understanding of JSF, JSP, and HTML/XHTML § Good understanding of Maven, JUnit. § Good understanding of web services (Axis, JBoss WS) § Learn and apply latest technologies on the job § Ability to adhere to development standards and procedures § Ability to write functional/design documents and communicate the design to peers and other cross functional peers § Familiarity with JBoss application server § Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems is also expected. § Strong problem-solving skills as well as critical/analytical thinking ability. *Responsibilities:* Working on all system life cycle phases including business analysis, architecture, requirements definition, design, development, and implementation Designing, developing, maintaining, and implementing software modules for specific business applications. Participating in the definition of the lifecycle of software process and in code reviews. With little or no supervision, completing analysis of partially defined tasks, completing major portions of complex functional specs/design documents or entire documents and completing development and/or maintenance assignments. Collaborating within and across groups in writing functional and design specifications, development schedules and user interface specifications.
