Kindly send me the profile with Complete Name, Current Location, Contact Details( Phone #/Email ID), PAy Rate, Visa Status & Availability. *Job Title: SENIOR UNIX ADMINISTRATOR WITH 8 + YEARS OF EXP* Location: NYC, NY Duration: 1 Year with possible Extention *PLEASE DON'T SUBMIT IF YOUR CANDIDATES DOESN'T HAVE THE BELOW HIGHLIGHTED SKILLS AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE ATLEAST 8 YEARS OF UNIX ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE BEFORE SUBMITTING ANY.* *Experience Required: ** has at least 8 years experience administering *UNIX in production environments, ideally 3 years or more on Red Hat Linux ** has production experience supporting and deploying to web application servers such as *BEA WebLogic Server, Red Hat JBoss server, Apache Tomcat server, and Apache HTTPD web server ** has recent experience in performance tuning and analysis * has strong *shell scripting skills and experience with Perl* * is proficient in at least one programming language * has excellent communication skills and produces clear documentation * can troubleshoot problems quickly and creatively * can work on simultaneous projects in a rapidly-changing environment *Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ** As part of a team, support *approximately 250 Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers* * Architect, build, and configure hardware, operating system, and applications (off-the-shelf and custom) * Deploy public-facing web applications * Automate recurring tasks * Write clear documentation * Help develop policies and best practices * Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotation basis * Respond to needs and questions of end-users concerning their access of systems resources * Interact with and coordinate activities of cross-functional teams, including Development, Systems Administration, Database Administration, Network Engineering, Production Support, and Operations staff * Proactively identify gaps and look to improve overall system availability Required technologies used in this position: * UNIX command line * Apache web server 2.x * One or more: *BEA Web Logic Application Server 9.x, 10.x, Apache Tomcat, Red Hat JBoss* * UNIX shell scripting * Perl scripting * Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3/4/5 *Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or related field or equivalent experience I look forward to hearing from you.
