Hope you are doing great today, Please go through the following job description and let me know if you are interested in this position or not, if yes, please send me the updated resume with contact details and rate ASAP. *Location: **Palatine, IL.* *Duration: 6 Months*** *Cognos 8/Data Warehousing Analyst (OWB - Oracle Warehouse Builder):* · Person required will work with Internal IT Staff to implement Cognos 8 production and development environment, including Cognos server. · Must have a broad understanding of data warehousing, operational data stores, analytical systems, data marts, decision support systems, business information systems, dimensional modeling, and business intelligence tools. · Experience with Cognos 8 with Metrics Studio, Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB). Experience with OWB mappings, process flows, ETL procedures, OWB transformations and PL/SQL are some of the ideal skills. · Good to possess Unix/Linux environment, Oracle 10g db knowledge. · Experience with an EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) is a big plus, but for a future project. · This position will be primarily working to maintain our new Production system, and continue to extend it. This includes all background services to let our end users run reports off Sungard/Banner and its replicated database called ODS, by way of Cognos 8. · Some interaction with the end users will be required, so good communication skills, both written and oral are highly desired.
