Major Purpose of Job:
The Peoplesoft QA Tester is a member of the Corporate IT Development
Services Group. The associate will assume responsibility for key components
of business-driven, IT initiatives. The major focus of the position is to
support all Client functions with their systems initiatives, predominantly
in the Finance and Accounting areas. The associate will be responsible for
testing PS Financials &
Billing systems. Knowledge of Accounting and Finance
preferred. Working experience with Peoplesoft General Ledger,
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Asset Management, Purchasing
a must.
Education/Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* Must have excellent familiarity with PeopleSoft FIN version 8.x tables
and process architecture, the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture
(PIA) and PeopleTools.
* Responsible for developing comprehensive test plans and execution
strategy to successfully complete system test, platform test and functional
upgrade test.
* Actively participated in functional and technical design document
reviews to ensure alignment and mapping of test documents with the business
requirements.
* Responsible for liaising with developers and functional analysts
through software development life-cycle for timely, bug-free product
releases.
* Responsible for creation of test execution strategy.
* Responsible for creation and execution of regression tests.
* Responsible for logging, managing and prioritizing bugs and verifying
their resolution.
* Responsible for creating new automation as well as debugging and
running existing automation for page sweeps and business process flows.
* Actively participated in post GA bundle testing, database
certification testing, translation testing.
* QA tools used: Test Director, Win Runner, Load Runner.
