I have an 8 week contract position here in Dallas, TX.
If you have any consultants that you can submit on this project please notify
me immediately as the client is ready to move fast on this position.
This person must have Application Development, not just a report developer.
Commencement Date and Term of Project
Duration: approximately 8 weeks.
Description of Project - Scope of Work, Key Activities, and Work Product
The Financial Planning & Analysis department requires an automated approach for
extracting data from the SAP R/3, EPICOR, Oracle E-business and JD Edwards ERP
systems.
The process would enable the end user to extract data from the ERP systems,
push it through a mapping tool and deliver files for the reporting application,
Essbase, to load.
The interface must be structured in a way that it will provide the ability to
run the extract on an ad-hoc basis to accommodate the period end closing
process.
A mapping transaction is required to maintain the from and to values for the
source fields that are converted with the mapping tool (SAP BW).
The entire interface will be developed using SAP Portal for a user interface
and SAP BW will be used for all of the other functions required including
mapping, persistent data storage, scheduling and auditing.
Development tasks:
1. Create new data sources:
a. JD Edwards
b. Oracle E-business
2. Data modeling:
a. Data flow for consolidating source system data
b. Build mapping tables
c. Export mechanism for Open Hub
3. Application development:
a. Build entry mask using SAP portal to maintain mapping data tables
b. Build process chain kick-off processes in Visual Composer
i. For data extraction from Non-sap sources
ii. For export of consolidated (mapped) data
4. Reporting
a. Exception Reports
b. Post mapping data validation reports
c. Source to Destination validation reports
