Title: Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Software Engineer
Location : Berkeley, CA
Start Date : ASAP
Duration: 1 + year
Duties
a.. Develop technical specifications from functional specifications;
b.. Code software modules based on technical specifications;
c.. Create and execute software system tests (unit testing, integration
testing, acceptance testing);
d.. Maintain previously developed product code, as required;
e.. Comply with corporate and client change management, quality management
and standard operating procedures; Actively participate in quality assurance
activities;
f.. Occasionally, travel to client locations to support the integration of
the developed software;
Skills
a.. Strong programming knowledge of relational databases (E/R diagrams) and
SQL; Oracle knowledge is preferred;
b.. Outstanding programming skills in C, C++, Java or VB are needed;
c.. Thorough understanding of software project life cycle, structured
programming and/or object-oriented design;
d.. Ability to consistently deliver quality work that meets established
coding standards;
e.. Understand functionality provided by existing software for the purpose of
enhancing it;
f.. Ability to accurately estimate development efforts;
Experience
a.. 1+ years experience implementing an MES product from one or more of the
following MES vendors; Werum, Honeywell, AspenTech, Rockwell Automation, ABB,
Wonderware, GE Fanuc, Siemens or other qualified MES vendor;
b.. 3+ years of programming experience designing, coding and testing software
systems using integrated development environments;
c.. 2+ years experience with relational databases application development and
SQL database programming; DB administration skills a plus;
d.. Experience with software development in FDA regulated environment a plus;
e.. Knowledge of SAP and/or automation software (DCS, SCADA) a plus;
f.. A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is required
