Position: Network Administrator
Location: San Rafael CA
Duration: 12 Months
Position Description:
Work with Application Developers to ensure the new applications implemented
on the enterprise network perform within expectations and do not negatively
affect the performance of existing applications. Design and monitor
application performance tests, analyze performance test data, make
recommendations on application design and hardware resource needs.
Present analysis and capacity projections to systems management and business
partners.
Identify changes in the systems architecture, applications or hardware that
may impact performance or capacity of Windows based Servers. Design,
develop, and produce performance and capacity reports that accurately
reflect the state of the systems being monitored.
Analyze performance data and determine appropriate thresholds for automated
alerting.
Experience Level: 3-6 Years.
Skill Set:
High level of experience with Server Systems.
Advanced Knowledge and Experience with Server Capacity Planning, Server
Performance and Server Performance Software Use/Support.
Additional Information:
Intermediate Implementation Specialist performs physical installation and
support of installed network infrastructure components and equipment.
Supports a variety of investment and core activities to support IT
infrastructure requirements in a medical service area environment.
Installs and relocates network, server, and telephony equipment.
Insures compliance with existing regulatory requirements concerning the
installation of KPIT equipment located in medical environments. Oversees and
directs various vendors performing installation, maintenance, or support
work on behalf of KPIT.
Maintains inventory and utilization records of equipment and installation
details. Participates in planning, design, installation or modifications of
installed network, server, and telephony equipment.
Must be able to function independently with minimal oversight and direction.
Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills to communicate with
clients, other IT staff, and vendors. Provides operational support in our
Hospitals, business offices and associated medical office buildings in the
Marin and Sonoma County Service Area. Provides first level problem diagnosis
and fault resolution.
Corrects/fixes basic network and telephony problems independently.
May require travel to other Kaiser sites.
After hours and weekend work to support upgrades, outages, and project
implementations is required.
Works on call duties in a rotation with other assigned staff.
A valid drivers license and privately owned vehicle are required.
