*Position Title:* Engineer *Location:* MIDDLETON, NJ *Phone interview*- Yes *Duration*: 9 months *Project Description: (What project will the contractor be working on?)* Testing and certification of vendor hardware & software (e.g. Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems) on IPv4 and IPv6 network project(s) in support of AT&T IP/MPLS services. Creation of scripting and other test automation for self and other test engineers in the group. * * *Job Description: (What will the contractor do on that project?)* Will be responsible for testing and certification of vendor hardware & software (e.g. Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems) on network projects, in support of AT&T IP/MPLS services, as well as creation of scripting and other test automation for self and other test engineers in the group. Looking for a energetic, motivated candidate with an aptitude for this type of work, as well as a good deal of creativity. Some background or experience in the area of IP/MPLS networking, ideally in the areas of MPLS VPN (e.g. RFC2547) and IPv6 services is needed. With regard to scripting/automation, the candidate should also have advanced level of experience in at least two of the following areas -- Perl, Expect, XML, shell scripting, TCL TK and/or SLAX. Knowledge of service provider uses/applications of MPLS VPN, MPLS LDP, BGPv4, OSPF, and IP&VPN Multicast protocols desired. Knowledge of traffic/routing emulators such as IXIA and Spirent/Adtech router tester is also desired.
