*Position: Oracle/EBS/SPA/Senior Linux System Administrator*

*Level: Senior*

*Location: Virginia*

*Description/Required Skills:*

Senior Linux System Administrator.

Work with DBA team to configure and develop sizing for LVM volumes on local
disks and NetApp volumes for shared storage.



*SKILLS *

-Prior experience (at least 7 years) with Linux or Unix OS administration in
Oracle database and/or Applications 11i environments.

Other third-party J2EE, CRM, or ERP applications may be relevant instead of
Oracle Applications 11i exper ience.  Oracle RAC and ASM experience is a
plus

-Willingness and ability to document architectural approaches and topology
configurations.

-Comfortable juggling between work in data center environments and office
settings.  -Broad exposure to hardware topologies and administrative skills
including Cisco or HP networking, SAN maintenance, and Linux infrastructure
(NIS, DHCP, DNS, Radius, etc.)

-Prior experience with a storage solution

– NetApp, EMC, Hitachi, Sun StorEdge, HP, etc.

-Excellent troubleshooting skills with a desire to work both independently
and within teams having different backgrounds.

-Experience in administration environments with 150+ active users (requiring
home and VPN accounts) and 50+ servers.

-General knowledge of file system and storage protocols (NFS, iSCSI, FCP).

-Exposure to hardware load-balancing technologies from either Cisco or F5 is
a plus TASKS:  Work with DBA team to configure and develop sizing for LVM
volumes on local disks and NetApp volumes for shared storage.

-Configure NetApp Snapshots in support of Oracle database backups and
cloning.

-Install and setup HBAs for Fibre Channel connections into SAN.

-Configure zones and monitor availability and performance of Brocade SAN
switches.  -Monitor and tune multi-protocol support of NetApp 3050c
clustered devices.

-Monitor system logs and configure settings of HP ProCurve switches.

-Troubleshoot and update settings for NIS, DNS, IMAP, and DHCP servers.

-Develop monitoring scripts to track I/O, RAM, and CPU performance.

-Provision end-user accounts via VPN
