Position: Financial BA
Location:  New London, CT.
Duration:  3-6 Months plus

   General Function: Analyzes, models and optimizes business processes
   and data flows. Builds business process models, data flow diagrams, and
   entity relationship diagrams. Gathers requirements for systems and
   applications, develops business requirements and technical
   specifications. Facilitates workshops. Develops business strategies and
   performs business processes reorganization.

   Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Capable of
   performing effectively in a team, or alone and unsupervised.
   Communicates effectively with team members and management. May require
   specialized pharmaceutical industry experience.

 *Responsibilities:
*
 Position Purpose:
 To ensure the adequacy of the internal control structure for the Pfizer
 Global Research and Development division, as well as provide advice to the
 division on technical accounting and control issues.

 Organizational Relationships:
 · Reports to the Divisional Controller
 · Key Relationships – Global Financial Shared Services (GFSS), PGRD
   Finance, Corporate Controllers, Corporate Internal Audit, and Corporate
   Tax.

 Primary Duties:
 ·  Lead the Accounting Services function within the Controller Team.
 ·  Oversee and ensure the proper accounting for internal restructuring
   initiatives.
 ·  Oversee the integration of acquired companies with PGRD Accounting
   processes, policies and systems.
 ·  Provide technical accounting guidance to PGRD Colleagues on wide range
   of topics.
 ·  Liaise with Corporate Accounting and GFSS regarding Accounting
 Policies.
 ·  Manage the Balance Sheet Reconciliation process for the Division.
 ·  Participate in cross-divisional and cross-functional teams to roll out
   new processes and initiatives across Pfizer and R&D organization.
 ·  Evaluate current accounting processes and systems to enhance the
   efficiency and effectiveness of the PGRD Finance Organization.
 ·  Evaluate current accounting processes and systems to enhance the
   efficiency and effectiveness of the PGRD Finance Organization.
 ·  Work closely with Corporate Controllers and PGRD teams on the site
   closure accounting (Nagoya, Amboise, Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, Esperion).
 ·  Oversee the month end accounting close including journal entries review
   and balance sheet reconciliations.

* Qualifications:
* Training, Education, and Experience Required:
 ·  Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 5 to 8 years experience.
 ·  MBA Preferred
 ·  Two years of supervisory experience.
 ·  CPA
 ·  Strong oral and written communication skills enabling
effective communication with all levels of management

 ·  Must be comfortable to participate in a highly energized
team environment of exceptional performance, shared accountability and with
a commitment to continuous improvement.
 ·  Strong customer relations skills
 ·  Experience in Public Accounting or Internal Audit.
