Please reply me at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] INTERVIEW: F2F, after the initial phone interview Position : Network Test Engineer Location : San Jose, CA Duration : 6 + Months Rate : $50/hr No Negotiable External Job Description : - The candidate will focus on feature testing on Catalyst 6500 family of switches. - Experience with testing Experience with testing L2 protocols features(STP, RSTP, PVST, MST, VTP, Port security, Etherchannel(PAGP/LACP), L2PT, SPAN, MAC Limiting,trunking, inline power,private vlans, platform, 802.1x ), L3 protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) Security Features such as ACL /VACL/PACL. Reflexive ACL , 802.1x , Quality Of service , IGMP-V2/V3 , MMLS , L4-7 features such as NBAR , FPM in Testing the same in newer switching / Routing / Layer4-7 products, features and / or in testing newer features , protocols. - Participate in feature design review, functional spec. review. - Write test plans which define the strategy and test cases for new product features and subsequently execute those tests, investigate test failures and log product defects. - Review other test plans and provide required feedback. - Will have complete ownership of multiple features and will interface with different teams such as TMEs/Interoperability testing team/System testing team and assist them in resolving their issues. - Job requires cross-functional interaction with software, hardware and ASIC engineering groups. - Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS is a must. - Should have good working experience with testing routiers, switches. - Work experience with L2 / L3 protocols, Quality Of Service (QOS), Multicast, Security features is a must. - Strong analytical skills to debug and isolate problems are required. - Experience developing Tcl/Expect /shell / Perl scripts is a must, experience in automating test cases in Cisco ATS environment are beneficial. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with different test, development, and support groups. - Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial oversight.
