Position : Database/SDW Consultant's Location : Annapolis, MD Duration :9 Month Rate : Open Job Descp: *Job Description :* The Database/Scalable DataWarehouse Consultant is one of several customer-facing roles performed by NCR’s Professional Services organization that focuses on delivering data warehouse solutions to customers. Provides technical needs analysis and support regarding database configuration and utilization issues. Responsible for designing database query specifications, database implementation, performance tuning administration and security. Typically engage in post-sale delivery activities, but may participate in pre-sale activities directly with customers. Works with relationship database technology in an application development environment (*Teradata, DB2, ORACLE, Informix)* and data sourcing tools (*Visual Basic, Powerbuilder *). An intermediate level position that manages multiple, moderately complex assignments as part of a customer engagement. Requires technical degree in computer science with a database concentration or related discipline, and *5 to 7 years related experience.;* Skills required : *Position is in Annapolis Maryland. Contractor’s will be on site Monday thru Friday. For the contractor’s with the right skills this can be a long term project. Contractor needs to be able to do **data modeling (logical & physical using Erwin), data mapping, requirements gathering (business rules) and ETL development using BTEQ**. Communications skills with business users and technical people are critical. Travel expenses if any to Annapolis must be included in the rate provided.
