*Overview of Role** *
Controllers IT (CIT) services the global information technology needs of
CS’s Product Control, Financial Control, Tax, Corporate Treasury and parts
of Corporate Services (Accounts Payable) Departments within CSFB. CIT is a
global organization with approximately 450 staff located in multiple regions
(primarily NY/Raleigh, London, Zurich, and Singapore). Our IT department
supports over one thousand users globally within the Global Controllers
Department whose jobs are to ensure the existence of consistent controls in
the areas of Accounting, P&L, Pricing, Funding, and Regulatory Reporting.
Opera stands for Online Profitability, Exceptions, Reporting and
Adjustments. It is the strategic P&L architecture for Product Control
providing reconciliations, adjustments and reporting. Opera production
support provides daily, follow the sun, application maintenance ensuring
critical downstream SLA’s are met. They act as primary liaisons between
individual work stream groups, facilitate dialogue between infrastructure
groups on configuration management, provide problem management, and issue
resolution.
The new hire will be a member of the global production support team
supporting all aspects of the applications lifecycle.
* Main Duties/Responsibilities of the Role *
- Address hands-on day-to-day NY/Raleigh support request and resolution
workflow for technical operations issues.
- Collaborate with a team of application support personnel, liaise with
system/ database administrators, and support engineers.
- Owns problem management working closely with the Global Production
Support managers/staff
- Safeguard Service Level Agreements
- Prepare Metrics and Management reporting
- Client Communications and escalations of issues.
*Skills and Experience** *
· BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
· Degree/Diploma in Finance and Banking desirable
*WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:*
*Essential:*
- Excellent troubleshooting and issue resolution skills required
- Self-starter and motivator who can work with minimal leadership and
guidance
- Application batch support experience
- Help Desk experience/ exposure 1-2 years
- Large Database experience/ exposure
*Desirable:*
- Good background in P&L type applications
- Financial Industry: Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Trading
Support, or Investment Services
*TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**:*

ETL design and development experience using Informatica Power Center
7.x/8.x
Strong RDMS database concepts (focused in PL/SQL)
Unix Command Level (shell scripting)
Oracle experience (10G preferable)

- Scheduling tools (Control M or Autosys)
- Remedy
- Java programming
- Weblogic knowledge
- Knowledge of reporting tools (i.e Business Objects)
- Windows command level
- M/S office suite
- Excellent troubleshooting and issue resolution skills
