Position 1: Job Description - Mainframe Developer

 

Responsibilities:

 

*       Provides technical consultation and support in the development of
computer applications and programs. 
*       Analyzes business requirements, designs and writes technical
specifications to design or redesign computer solutions. 
*       Develops original and/or complex code or provides coding guidance to
less experienced staff. 
*       Leads and/or performs modeling, simulations and analysis efforts. 
*       Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data,
testing and debugging of programs. Participates in overall systems testing. 
*       Leads the migration of applications to production. 
*       Develops new documentation, participates in the development of
department technical procedures and designs user guides. 
*       As an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting,
provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of
escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems. 
*       Leads projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides
direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Assures quality, security
and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating
and testing of the business continuation plan.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

*       4 yr degree plus 5+ yrs exp or equivalent
*       Mainframe Development using CICS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, Insync, Z/OS
mainframe environment, Visio. 
*       Strong written and verbal communication.  
*       Good time management skills.  
*       High standards for quality and timeliness

 

Preferred experience/skills: 

.         Experience with Remedy or PAC2000, VECTOR:Connexion,
Connect:Direct, MQ, Endevor, EDI, XML, Treasury Management, or ClearQuest.

.         Skill in full life-cycle development.  

.         Experience with CICS Web Services.

 

Position 2: Job Description - Technical Writer, Communications Coordinator

 

Responsibilities:

 

.         Develop documentation standards and templates for technical
application support team

 

.         Create new documentation lifecycle management process

 

.         Prepare training material and/or coordinate training sessions
related to information contained in technical documentation 

 

.         Responsible for basic to moderately complex technical
documentation tasks and projects

 

.         Writes and maintains new/revised manuals, bulletins,
implementation packages, and other technical documentation including online
help screens and online documentation for intranet web sites. 

 

.         Conducts basic to moderately complex problem and audience
analysis, works with systems analysts to gather technical information,
designs, and writes documentation. 

 

.         Follows established guidelines for the organization and design of
work.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

.         BS degree or equivalent.

 

.         3 to 4 years of relevant experience.

 

.         General knowledge of application operations and support team
knowledge management.

 

.         Experience documenting processes &/or procedures.

 

.         Experience with SharePoint 2007 is a requirement.  

 

.         Experience managing corporate communications.

 

 Preferred experience/skills: 

 

.         History collaborating with development and application
operations/support teams

 

.         Significant work in overall change communication. 

 

.         Experience developing a communication campaign will be key.
