*Customer is seeking experienced Cognos Architect to lead the technical
design and development effort.  The individual will be expected to analyze
project requirements and design and setup the Cognos environment, create
detailed project designs document, configure Cognos, build Cognos cubes and
create and implement report programs.*



*Required Skills:*

* *

*Must have at least 4-6 years of full system development life cycle (SDLC)
experience. *

*Must have at least 6-8 years of experience with Cognos 8 reporting tool
including Framework Manager, Administration Tasks, Report Studio, Query
Studio, SDK etc. *

*Must have at least 4-6 years of experience with Cognos 8 architect
activities including setting up the environment, security, data layers,
cubes, dimensions etc. *

*Must have at least 2 years of experience with Data Warehouse development.

*Must have at least 2 years of Oracle/SQL- PL/SQL experience*

*Must have understanding Object oriented analysis and design (OOAD)  and
Database Management Systems concepts*

*Must have experience with creating  executing test plans *

*Must have experience with Technical Writing (Documentation)*

Knowledge of ETL tool Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) is preferred.

   - A minimum of two (2) years experience in PeopleSoft (EPM: 8.9,
   PeopleTools: 8.46.05) Cognos Report development and system analysis.
   Multi-module experience preferred (e.g. EPM, HCM, FIN).
   - A minimum of two (2) years working with Oracle (Version: 10g preferred)
   as a database engine.
   - Three (3) years experience with enterprise data warehouse architecture
   and/or design.
   - Two (2) years of recent experience on Cognos (8 preferred) tool. OLAP,
   Dashboards, Scorecards and Reports.
   - Two (2) years of Dimensional Data Modeling, and Data Profiling
   experience for data warehouse development. EPM MDW experience preferred.
   - Experience integrating disparate systems of record into conformed
   dimensions and fact tables
   - Excellent documentation and communication skills.
   - Unix experience.
   - Strong performance tuning skills*.* **
