All the above skills are mandatory. *EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* · 5+ years of database design and development experience as an application database developer using Microsoft SQL Server. · Advanced skills in writing stored procedures/scripts using SQL and T-SQL. · Familiarity with .NET, Component Object Model (COM), Distributed Object Model (DCOM), ASP (Active Server Pages), XML, SOAP and IIS. · Candidate must be able to demonstrate their understanding and ability to focus on process and procedures throughout application development life cycle including effective requirements gathering, design, testing, and documentation of applications. · Microsoft SQL Server Certification Desired. · Industry experience within Financial Services, Brokerage, Trading system a plus. * * *RESPONSIBILITIES* · Work with other developers on the database development team, the DBA group and other application developers, to design and develop database objects and maintain existing database queries. · Performs the full range of software development activities for database applications, including analysis, design, coding, unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, technical support, deployment, training, enhancements and documentation. · Communicate effectively with other application developers and business users.
