Description
Researches, collects, and reports information on the ability and capacity of
company products and competing equipment. Aids in the design and development of
equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of
customers. Responsibilities also include providing equipment functionality and
capability reports to the sales force, and acting as technical liaison to the
sales team. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years
of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard
concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on
limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a
variety of tasks. Understands business objectives and problems, identifies
alternative solutions, performs feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis
of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to
automate processing or to improve existing computer systems. Confers with
personnel of the organizational units involved to analyze current operation
procedures, identify problems, and learn specific requirements. Write detailed
descriptions of needs and steps required to setup the application. Review
system capabilities specifications and scheduling limitations to determine if
requested application is possible within the existing environment. Install new
software releases system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve
software related problems. Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of the
systems to ensure integrity and health.
Responsibilities
. Build out a test environment for Novell Access Manager (NAM).
. Provide leadership with the migration of the current iChain software to the
NAM software. This includes gathering business requirements and doing
customization to the base NAM system to support these requirements.
. Coordinates with other technical teams to collaborate on enhancement design
and verification of system modifications.
. Analyze current identity management environment and provide recommendations
to improve development practices, application integration, and software
lifecycle support.
Skills
Enterprise-level technical skills and experiences that is required for this
position, including one or more of the following:
. J2EE, JAVA, JSP
. Enterprise Directory Architecture and Design
. Services-Oriented Architecture and Development
. Identity and Access Management
. Infrastructure and Operations Security
. Experience with Customizing Login Pages
. Hands-on experience-understanding of Identity and Access Management
architecture, meta-directory, and attribute mapping.
. Solid understanding of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
. Able to work with business customers and resolve technical design issues.
Required Basic Qualifications
. 5+ years experience in application development
. 3+ years technical architecture experience integrating identity and access
management software into clients' infrastructure and applications
. 5+ years of experience with Java/J2EE WebSphere using Java Development tools.
. Knowledge of HTML, XML, XSLT, JSP, and CSS.
. Experience working with a DBMS such as DB2, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
. 3+ years experience with iChain and/or Novel Access Manager (NAM).
