Position: CISCO Security / Firewall Specialist
Duration: 2 Months Contract
Location: Houston, TX
RATE: $45-50/hr (Not Negotiable)
Descriptions of Duties:
Under general Network Security Project Manager supervision, this position
will provide design, development, deployment, problem identification and
remediation, and on-going support of the network. Work as member of network
engineering team that designs and supports a web and point of sale application
layer OWASP protection of an e-commerce PCI DMZ.
This position will:
Provide engineering planning and management support for the application
gateway and web server load balancers and the network security infrastructure;
develop and /or validate designs for the application protection of ColdFusion
and Linux apache web servers; determine optimal application security protection
policy; troubleshoot application web performance problems; develop security
rules for application firewalls; determine appropriate load balancing
algorithms capacities; support the migration to a MPLS network; interface the
WAN with other Government WANs; and, identify and correct WAN/LAN hardware,
software, and network engineering design; problem identification; and problem
remediation.
Desired Skills:
Cisco CCIE or CCNA certifications desirable, and subject matter expert
experience implementing and configuring Cisco ACE XML Gateway implementation
experience with Cisco 4710 web load balancers, and syslog event redirections to
RSA Envision.
