Hi,

This is my direct client opening for *DBA - New York, NY. This is a 12
months contract position*. The Hourly rate is DOE. *Candidates need to
interview in person and should be in the NY area.*



*MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE *

-8 years of RDB Oracle DBA Experience ( all skills below should be close to
8 years of expe. in each, this is preferred by the client)



-Hands on Experience on OpenVMS/Alpha platforms


-Hands-on knowledge and experience with DECTP products, includes
ACMS(Application Control Management System) the TPMonitor Exp. Defining
database physical Design and sizing for needs such as database
reorganizations, sizing , capacity measurements, planning and
tuning.

-Sql/SQL MOD


-Tuning the physical database structures, O/S and application query tuning
and optimizations.

-Exp. With design and programming the database operational, backup,
journaling restore and archiving procedures in a system that requires and
relies upon a lot of cross database data intergrity and constraint factors.


-Expe. with analyzing database dumps reverse engineering to reconstruct the
data in severe situations of database Corruptions.





*THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS DESIRABLE BUT NOT REQUIRED:*

-Very Desireable: DBA expe. with  DB2/Linux

-Application Control Language (DCL)


-CPU_independent SanTechnology


-Open VMS capacity planning, performance management and system utility
tools.

-ETL/DATA
