** Hi, This is my direct client opening for *SQL Server DBA - Irvine, CA*. This is a *2-3 months* contract position. The Hourly rate is *$45/hr*. *Need local candidates* only. *Job Description:* Conduct "client" SQL Servers and databases inventory Create databases and servers mapping and document the relationships among the servers and database. Create documentation for the databases Identify the problem areas and provide suggestions in hardware resource planning, scheduling and production monitoring, database performance and database capacity. Provide the recommendations for our next-generation database enhancements. *Job Qualifications:* Good analytical skills A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience of SQL Server 2000/2005 administration and development.. DBA working knowledge and conceptual understanding of a physical and logical database design. Methodical knowledge of and hands-on experience with performance tuning of the SQL Server databases. Hands-on experience with SQL Server replication Strong knowledge of performance SQL Server tuning. Familiar with SAN and experienced in cluster environments. Experience in server capability monitoring Strong ability to interact, communicates, present and influence with the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service skills. Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
