Description: Currently in the process of engaging a Sr. Network Engineer for technology project and legacy support of Agency technology assets in our Infrastructure Team within our Technology Services Group. This client has a considerable number of technology projects and a stable legacy environment. This is a right to hire interim role to fill a vacant staff position. Consultants submitted for this engagement are considered eligible to apply for the open staff position at the end of the 3 month contract. Experience (15 Points): Recent experience with VPN and Firewall technologies. Cisco VoIP experience; ie Unity, Call Manager and ACD. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve network issues. Respond to customer requests and provide effective customer service using clear communication skills. Managed and configured complex vLANs, WANs and networks. Work under steady pressure with frequent interruptions. Plan and organize work to meet changing priorities and deadlines Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Several years experience working in a Cisco/Microsoft environment Able to communicate/educate all levels of understanding Supervisory/Lead Experience; motivate staff and provide guidance Ability to design enterprise network routing architectures. Implementation of Wi-Fi devices. Knowledge of (10 Points): In-depth knowledge of VPN technologies In-depth knowledge of CISCO Appliances; ie routers, switches Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot and monitor firewall Principals and practices of change management Highly Desired (5 Points): Cisco VoIP experience Pix Firewall 3+ Years exp. with CISCO hardware.
