Key Skills:

Convert all WAS APP servers to clusters in dev/tst WebSphere Portal
installation and support Install Fixpack 4 for WSRR Fabric/WSRR upgrades

Responsibilities:

Perform GAP analysis between environments (hardware, network, configuration
of both WAS and applications)

Convert all WAS APP servers to clusters in dev/tst (re-architecture for more
consistency among environments) Convert EIGWebServices to a cluster Convert
Polk to a cluster Resolve Fabric/IVR timeout issues Assist with Fabric/WSRR
upgrades for the Integration Architecture expansion (for production) Assist
with Camilion and other PAS build outs Assist with day to day
support/problem resolution.

We need to open more tickets with IBM and focus on resolving any an all
issues that appear in logs. (We often ignore errors that no one complains
about) Create facility for parsing 6 sets of logs (extract on specific time
periods from all logs in an effort to help debug problems. Right now it's a
manual effort to pull 6 logs together and find specific events at specific
times) Perform off hours testing to validate and insure that failover is
working. We need to be able to seamlessly take production servers in/out of
service without affecting users.

Analyze logs and find ways to clean up error messages. We get too many
errors in logs. Have BSI change code to remove so much stuff from logs.

Logs should be for errors.

Review all WebSphere alerting. We get so many errors that the process is
meaningless to us. Also, verify that all apps are being monitored We need to
look into ways of having periodic automated tests of all applications. Need
to make sure all apps have a test harness.

Need end to end transaction monitoring and traceability.

Need help with installing latest fixpacks across all environments Need to
clean up documentation regarding current Websphere standards and setups.

Support current application deployments / troubleshooting "Triage" of
issues, tickets, questions, phone calls, etc.

Possible other MQ tasks...

MQ Message monitoring

Accounting and statistics reports.

Event and Real-Time monitoring

Thanks & Regards
